Davidstow wild garlic frittata

A true taste of spring that makes the perfect light lunch. Cooked with mature aged 12-month-old Davidstow cheddar this frittata works really well with grassy flavoured asparagus, pungent wild garlic and earthy new potatoes.

Davidstow cheese and ham crepes

This is a classic way to enjoy Davidstow Cheddar with homemade ham. Try adding mushrooms, a fried egg or even roasted vegetables to your pancake fillings.

Davidstow Cheese & Leek Croquettes

Often you will find that you have leftover bread at the end of the week. This recipe provides yesterday’s bread with a second lease of life, to coat our rich cheese croquettes.

Davidstow Fondue

Perfect to share with family for an indulgent treat. Our fondue recipe uses local cider but you could also try with a Cornish ale or white wine.

Davidstow Cheese & Herb Twists

These cheese twists are perfect for the whole family. The mature tang of aged cheddar works perfectly with the sweet shallot, spring onions and bright chive.

Davidstow Cauliflower cheese

A creamy cauliflower cheese can be elevated to the next level by using Davidstow Reserve cheddar.

Davidstow mushroom & cheddar risotto

Elevate a humble mushroom risotto by adding mature Cornish cheddar instead of Parmesan. The aged cheese works wonderfully to make a creamy, nutty flavoured risotto; base garnished with fried King oyster mushrooms, lemon and asparagus.

Davidstow rosemary & cheese scones

Our Davidstow twist on a classic cream tea. This West Country favourite has real depth of flavour from Crackler grated into the cheesy scones, with lemon and rosemary.

Davidstow crab & leek gratin

This is a recipe which celebrates Cornish luxury but it’s surprisingly easy to make. The Reserve cheddar adds extra maturity to the flavour with the leek and crab, but you can use one of our other aged cheeses too and still get great results.

Davidstow Fish Pie

A classic fish pie with a twist! The mashed potato is enriched with a generous grating of Davidstow Crackler & we use a vermouth instead of white wine for the white sauce!

Davidstow smoked haddock tart

Our beloved Crackler works wonderfully with robust flavours. For this recipe we’ve paired it with smoked haddock for a homely but delicious summer tart. Try adding watercress to the recipe or some smoked salmon for extra colour.

Davidstow Quiche Lorraine

This is our classic Quiche Lorraine recipe with plenty of Davidstow Crackler to add depth of flavour. A homemade quiche is the perfect summer picnic food and it’s worth the effort. Remember Taste Takes Time…

Davidstow Cornish Rarebit

This is the ultimate grilled cheese recipe with a Cornish twist on the traditional rarebit. We’ve used a bottle of local Doombar and some wholegrain mustard to complement our Classic 12 month cheddar.

Davidstow cheddar & apple tart

This is an ideal way to serve our Davidstow Crackler, for a recipe that is quick and easy to make. An open tray bake with extra mature cheddar providing the savoury profile to work with sweet apple, subtle metallic notes from watercress and earthy walnut.
